My how time flies

I can not believe I have not been on our blog for so long! I guess when you have two very active boys and a job.....I know cut the excuses and get on with it!

So the month of October, Roger and I celebrated 12 years of blissful marriage!!!! I can not believe I have been connected to this man for 17 years. If you don't know the story....we dated for 5 years to the day before we said I do and He does and that was that. I will never forget my dad's words as he gave me away, Bernie - "Who gives this woman to this man" (or something like that), Dad - "After 5 long years, I her father do!" Leave it to my dad to give us all a good laugh. While we are on the wedding story, the boys love it when I tell about the silly string. Roger and I wanted to do something fun as we ran out the doors to our car to drive away into the sunset, so we bought some silly string! My girls were helping me get changed and everything and my dad was with Roger and he had our cans of silly string priming them for our departure. My dad is like what is that....dad goes out to be with my family and we prepare for the break. Well, we are running out the door spraying our silly string and I think wow the wind sure is blowing. (the silly string was flying back at me...) My parents and sisters had SILLY STRING too. The favorite part of the boys is Roger hit Mimi (my momma) right in the mouth with some string. They laugh till they cry every time!

Thank you honey for being the man in my life and being a great day and provider for our family! Thank you for taking me to see our favorite christian artists for our anniversary. I so loved it!

The boys have kept us busy! Jonny finished his soccer season up with two tourneys. They did so good. Some of the teams were really good and they held their own. He has enjoyed playing goalie and guard.

Ryan has been training for his blue belt in karate and on Friday, Dec. 19th he passed his test! Way to go bub!

The tooth fairy came to see Jonny for the first time the week of Thanksgiving and the second time the Thursday after Thanksgiving. A little story for you. We had been given a fun gift of going to see Terry Fader in Ft. Worth the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving, also the day the tooth came out. So we had a late night and Jonny got everything ready for the tooth fairy. The next morning he told his dad the tooth fairy didn't come.....dad's reply, "your room is such a mess she couldn't get in to see you!" things were dropped until I got up and he started telling me. I told him the same thing and his reply was "Mom, the tooth fairy flies!"

We have truly been blessed with great family and friends. God has taken care of us and we are thankful for the things he has given us. As we enter the Christmas season, we pray that your families will remember that the birth of Jesus is why we celebrate and that you don't get so caught up that you forget to honor his birth. Christmas morning we will have some birthday cake to celebrate, why not start a new family tradition.

I have included some pics for you to enjoy!
Merry Christmas from the Scotts
