My how time flies

I can not believe I have not been on our blog for so long! I guess when you have two very active boys and a job.....I know cut the excuses and get on with it!

So the month of October, Roger and I celebrated 12 years of blissful marriage!!!! I can not believe I have been connected to this man for 17 years. If you don't know the story....we dated for 5 years to the day before we said I do and He does and that was that. I will never forget my dad's words as he gave me away, Bernie - "Who gives this woman to this man" (or something like that), Dad - "After 5 long years, I her father do!" Leave it to my dad to give us all a good laugh. While we are on the wedding story, the boys love it when I tell about the silly string. Roger and I wanted to do something fun as we ran out the doors to our car to drive away into the sunset, so we bought some silly string! My girls were helping me get changed and everything and my dad was with Roger and he had our cans of silly string priming them for our departure. My dad is like what is that....dad goes out to be with my family and we prepare for the break. Well, we are running out the door spraying our silly string and I think wow the wind sure is blowing. (the silly string was flying back at me...) My parents and sisters had SILLY STRING too. The favorite part of the boys is Roger hit Mimi (my momma) right in the mouth with some string. They laugh till they cry every time!

Thank you honey for being the man in my life and being a great day and provider for our family! Thank you for taking me to see our favorite christian artists for our anniversary. I so loved it!

The boys have kept us busy! Jonny finished his soccer season up with two tourneys. They did so good. Some of the teams were really good and they held their own. He has enjoyed playing goalie and guard.

Ryan has been training for his blue belt in karate and on Friday, Dec. 19th he passed his test! Way to go bub!

The tooth fairy came to see Jonny for the first time the week of Thanksgiving and the second time the Thursday after Thanksgiving. A little story for you. We had been given a fun gift of going to see Terry Fader in Ft. Worth the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving, also the day the tooth came out. So we had a late night and Jonny got everything ready for the tooth fairy. The next morning he told his dad the tooth fairy didn't come.....dad's reply, "your room is such a mess she couldn't get in to see you!" things were dropped until I got up and he started telling me. I told him the same thing and his reply was "Mom, the tooth fairy flies!"

We have truly been blessed with great family and friends. God has taken care of us and we are thankful for the things he has given us. As we enter the Christmas season, we pray that your families will remember that the birth of Jesus is why we celebrate and that you don't get so caught up that you forget to honor his birth. Christmas morning we will have some birthday cake to celebrate, why not start a new family tradition.

I have included some pics for you to enjoy!
Merry Christmas from the Scotts

Birthday Lunch!

Happy Birthday to my big sister, Stacy, and myself!!!!!!!!!!

The 30th is her _ _st birthday and my _ _ th birthday:) We are blessed to share our special day together.

We had lunch today with our parents and younger sister, Kate, and her girls, Isabella and Lily.

This is Stacy and her grandson, Dillon, who also happens to be MY great nephew.

This would be Dillon and the worlds greatest aunt Tambo.......

This is our sister, Kate and her girls. They were slobbering all over Dillon. Lily (with the pink bow) wanted to hold Dillon. He is almost as big as she is......

This is Stacy with our mother! Also one of dad's famous look and smile on three but took the picture on 2 pictures.

This is our dad and Dillon. He is not spoiled or anything by the greats! We all fight over who gets to love on him.

So thank you mother and daddy for celebrating our birthday with us a day early!

More Vacation.....Dollywood!

Dollywood, we went to Dollywood! We had a great time in the humidity and sweat:) You can see from the pics below that we took it easy on the rides. Roger and Jonny rode the big coaters while Ryan and I hung out together. Ryan didnt want me to be alone.

We love taking pictures of ourselves! Sometimes we get some that just arent quite worthy of publishing!

The morning we went to Dollywood, we told the boys we were going to just have snacks for breakfast and then we would have lunch in the park. We were just a little sneaky. We took them to a character breakfast. This is our picture with Peter Rabbit! Strawberry Shortcake came by but for some reason they did not want a picture with her.....

This is my kind of coaster.....I think the boys are in the 2nd yellow car. They rode several times so you just never know!

The Best Aquarium!

One of the things we liked about this aquarium is that they have HANDS ON! There were sharks, stingrays, dori fish, nemo fish and much more to try and touch. Dori and Nemo are fast little boogers!

They had turtles galoure! That was Jonny's favorite.

Vacation - Chatanooga Aquarium

We went to what I think was the best ever aquarium in Chatanooga. We had such a fantastic time. Here are a few pics from our visit.

How about that friendship! Not sure I would enjoy a croc resting on my back!

Vacation - NASA Museum

On our way home we stopped by the NASA Museum. We had a great time checkin out all the things our astronauts have done on the moon and seeing some of the cool stuff they took with them.

There were rockets and all kinds of cool stuff for us to explore. The boys were impressed at how big everything was!

Jonny and Roger are trying to land the space shuttle. I dont think they were very sucessful:)

Ryan's turn!

Ryan and Roger underneath the rocket boosters! They are huge!

Fishing!

It is not very often we get to go fishing with Papaw! So we take every chance we can get. We went to one of Papaw "spots" to fish last Wednesday. I will say I have a couple of city slickers! They caught some perch and would not take them from my dad and turn them loose. Putting shrimp on their hook was a not gonna do that either. But if we had worms....... I have decided though that they like to fish just like their Mimi. With "live" bait, cork and a lawn chair. Once we fished a little with the shrimp, dad put on their artificial lures to fish for bass. They were not too thrilled with the waiting time for a fish to come along and jump on the hook.

Now for the Mamma's bragging rights!!!!!!!! I am the only one who caught bass! Two might I add......

You will see below the pics of our adventure:) Papaw thanks for making our day a great one.

Busy Busy Busy

Wow the time has flown by! I can not beileve I have not posted since March! We have been moving our church to its new location. What a bute! God has blessed us so much. We have a beautiful place to go and worship and see lives changed. It is amazing what location will do. We have seen about 120 kids come through in the last 4 weeks that we have not seen before. WOW time for phase 2. Dont let Pastor Mark hear me say that, he might colapse.

We finished out the 2007-2008 school year with a bang. Both boys did an awesome job this year. Jonny is reading and Ryan is reading entire chapter books. That is crazy. I still get to read to them. I hope they dont out grow that too quick.

Ryan has made it to his first blue stripe in Karate! He did a fantastic job with his sparing (fighting with pads)

My niece Amada graduated from High School. She is the last of my sister Stacy's children. She does have 3 more to go that are our sister Dyan's! Hang in there sis. You will make it.

Our little Minnie dog is hangin' with us. Jonny just loves her. We all love her but Jonny....Let me tell you a little story. Roger and the boys were coming home for some event and Roger told the boys, "I have waited 2 years for Prince Caspin to come out." Jonny said, "I have waited all my life for a dog!" She is so good to put up with him toting her around the house.

For those of you who are going, you have a dog.....read the archives and you will find the story about "my dog."

Be on the look out for more updates in my spare time.
